Frequently asked questions
What is Kaya?
Kaya is a slow-cooked coconut and egg preserve born in Southeast Asian kitchens. Silky, caramelized, and gently rich, it is traditionally enjoyed on warm toast with butter.
Moh Kaya honours this heritage while crafting it fresh in Bangalore, in limited weekly batches.
When is your Kaya prepared?
Every jar is slow-cooked on Friday.
To preserve quality and freshness, pre-orders close on Wednesday. Production is intentionally limited to ensure each batch receives the patience it deserves.
What ingredients do you use?
Whole eggs, coconut cream, and carefully selected flavour infusions such as caramel, cardamom, or saffron.
No preservatives. No artificial additives. Only deliberate, slow preparation.
Why are quantities limited?
We do not mass produce.
Our Kaya is crafted in small batches to protect texture, flavour depth, and freshness. Limited jars are a reflection of this philosophy.
Where do you deliver?
Currently, our Kaya is available exclusively within Bangalore. This allows us to maintain delivery timelines and ensure the jar reaches you exactly as intended.
How should I store my Kaya jar?
Refrigerate upon arrival. Always use a clean, dry spoon.
When stored properly, your jar remains at its best for up to 2–3 weeks.
